Becoming a Mentor

Becoming a mentor can be one of the most important choices one can make as well as one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have.


As a mentor you have the opportunity of opening your heart to a teen who needs to be loved, nurtured and supported, making a positive impact on their future. 


Destiny House is committed to ensuring our mentorship experience is one of support, sensitivity and encouragement. 

Becoming a Foster Parent: What We Do

To become a mentor you must:

  •  Be at least 25 years old.

  •  Successfully complete the DHF mentor training.

  •  Participate in an extensive interview process.

  •  Be lawfully present in the U.S.

  • Provide adequate references and be able to pass an extensive background check.
