Becoming a Foster Parent
Becoming a foster parent can be one of the most important choices one can make as well as one of the most rewarding experiences a family can have.
As a foster parent you have the opportunity of opening your home to a child who needs to be loved, nurtured and supported. When you open your heart and family to a child in need you have the wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s future.

Here at Destiny House all families are welcomed to explore this journey of becoming a foster-parent.
To become a foster parent in Arizona, you must:
Be at least 21 years old.
Be medically qualified by a health professional.
Successfully complete the foster parent pre-service training.
Participate in an extensive interview process.
Be lawfully present in the U.S.
Pass a home safety inspection.
Be able to pass an FBI and local criminal background check and have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Department of Public Safety. (This requirement applies to all adults residing in the household)
